近日，美国农业部对乌克兰的葵花籽油产量前景给予乐观的预测。2013/2014销售年度，乌克兰将生产葵花籽油402.3万吨，超过先前预测84吨。报道称，美国仍是目前世界上的农产品生产国和出口国，超过所有竞争对手。权威机构预测，今年美国葵花籽油出口量将继续增加，将从360万吨上升到368万吨。另外，俄罗斯葵花籽油产量预计将达到326.9万吨；欧盟将生产299.5万吨，较先前预测上升11.2万吨。据美国全国葵花籽协会（NSA）发布的统计数据显示，2014年8月份，美国葵花籽压榨量为44,171吨，高于7月份的33,350吨，也远高于上年同期的22,877吨。2013/14年度（10月至次年9月）的头11个月里，美国葵花籽压榨量为432,058吨，低于上年同期的435,837吨。
